Sheena Taylor has been an educator for over 10 years; serving with passion, zeal and dedication. Ms. Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Business and Computer Studies in Technical, Vocational Education, and a Masters in Education with a major in Educational Administration. Ms. Taylor served as Vice Principal of St. Andrew Primary and was recently appointed as Principal of Louise Bennett-Coverley Primary in May 2023. She also serves as Adjunct Lecturer at the University College of the Caribbean (UCC), and was among the distinguished educators who prepared and recorded lessons for the Ministry of Education & Youth which were broadcast via radio during the COVID-19 pandemic when schools were closed. She also wrote lessons for The Gleaner which were published in their newspaper.
Ms. Taylor is very passionate about education, mentorship and serving people, especially students who are less fortunate or vulnerable. Ms. Taylor is dedicated to nation-building through community service and volunteerism and believes that through positively impacting others, our society will emerge as a place of choice to live, work, raise families and do business.
The establishment of the NCE was born out of the need to have a non-partisan, national and strategically placed organisation that would "address a wide range of issues impacting the education process".
